We often get asked “how do you switch off?” and our answer is easy: golf. We love being outdoors, we are naturally competitive, and we enjoy focusing on a challenge. It has taught us patience, how to recover from mistakes and how to live in the moment. A lot of people, especially women, have not played golf in their childhood and think that it takes too long to be a regular part of their lives.
The problem is finding the time and the place to be able to get good tuition and to explore a course that is beautiful and welcomes beginners. The solution can be found at Verdura Resort.
Golf is a rapidly expanding sport. In the last two years the number of women golfers has nearly doubled. It’s a fantastic game to share with your family or partner and the golf retailers have responded with great clothing ranges for women. The days of dowdy gear and argyle sweaters are long gone.
Sign up for the Green to Tee course at Verdura and for two hours a day, Tom Foster and his team of professionals will kit you out with everything you need. The facilities are right on your doorstep and the emphasis is on having fun.
In the first session some of the mysteries of the game are explained. What are all those clubs for in the bag? As with most sports, golf has its own lingo. What do we mean by a par three or a par five? What is a putt, a chip, a drive? By the end of the session, you will know the basics and you will be back for more.
